Why use Virtual Assistants?

Many businesses mistakenly believe they don’t need a virtual assistant or they have no idea how to use one. If you’re one of these people here’re a few reasons why (and how) an online assistant can help you...

  • Better organization for your business.
  • Finally, you can be ‘two places at once’.
  • Have more time to focus on your business objectives and company growth rather than mundane tasks.
  • Have extra labor available without the huge overhead costs like insurance.
  • Hire skilled workers in literally any area like data entry, accounting and technology support.

Now many people worry about the cost of a virtual assistant (they think it’s too expensive). In actuality, a virtual assistant is more economical than you think. That’s why it’s important to contact places like informationguru.biz to discover all the possibilities of a virtual assistant.

How I Became A Virtual Assistant

In 2005, I started business as a virtual assistant. I came up with the idea after working for a large insurance company in Golden Valley, MN for over 3 years (United Health Group) as a Senior Administrative Assistant. I was responsible for providing support to my supervisor, Director of Quality who was located offsite in Denver, Colorado.

We communicated via the telephone and email . I was primarily responsible for her expense reports, business communications, email and calendar management. We formed a great relationship and one day... I realized that I could actually do this for several people as my own business.

Our entire team was virtual, yet, we worked closely together making sure that we managed a well connected team having weekly one on one meetings, annual strategic planning sessions and other events to keep the team connected.

I am grateful for this experience because I was able to successfully assist a VP who was constantly on the road, a director who worked primarily from her home and managers located in 3 different cities to accomplish tasks that helped our team continuously deliver exceptional work--- all remotely. At the same time, I was able to come up with an idea that enabled me to deliver the same support as a virtual assistant to businesses in any part of the world. And since that time, I have worked for clients all over the world including the UK, Georgia, Texas, Washington, Florida and more.

Google Analytics

I have found Google Analytics to be a great resource for helping me track track web traffic and learning exactly where to target my adword campaigns. Clear reports are provided about the geographical regions of visitors, operating systems, number of pages they visited and how long they stayed on each page.

This is definately a tool that I will continute to use with my internet marketing efforts.
